Please don't tell my cardiologist, but I had the chili cheese dog and it was outstanding. The chili tastes great, the hot dog is grilled, not boiled, and the fries were hot, crispy, and just right. It was a beautiful day to sit on the front porch... and they just need to switch the music feed from current-day pop to, well, just about anything else! Highly recommended.
If you live in Granite Shoals, you should definitely be eating here. Way better than anything you're going to get 10 minutes down 1431. Everyone is very friendly and the burgers are great. Chili burger so far is my favorite. Just really good.
Fantastic experience. Friendly staff that is professional and prompt. They are good about making sure your order is correct (I'm door dash and this is what people tell me, and what I've experienced myself). The food is really good and tastes homemade and it's very affordable. Highly recommend.
Every time I eat here my burger is unique and delicious and always made to order! The cook is always friendly and polite and the owner is always very welcoming! Some of the best burgers I've ever had!

***update*** Bobby has fries! Five stars ***update*** This is a great little hamburger café with a focus on well - hamburgers. This is a brand new restaurant, as evident by the "Grand Opening" banner out front, and thus is experiencing some of the delays inherent to this situation: Hence: A menu limited to hamburgers, chili, hot dogs and a combination thereof. Clean but limited seating. Service and cooking by the owner/operator, Bobby, thus potentially a little slow. All this being said, the hamburgers are EXCELLENT, as is the chili cheese dog - my wife's favorite. The ingredients are fresh and excellent, consisting of HEB patties, Nathan's hot dogs, seeded buns and freshly chopped lettuce, tomatoes and onions fresh or grilled to your order. Bobby informed me consistent breakfast is forthcoming, as is weekend, chef's choice, dinners - per an outdoor sandwich board. Finally, price point vs portions is superb and competitive to fast-food. A very good choice for local, fresh, diner fare.
Hungry dog diner doesn't just have high quality food, and it doesn't just have tip top service, the atmosphere of respect and well made food is abundant the moment you get your food and sit down. This place has the best burgers in the hill country, and a slew of the best sauces from some mild crystal hot sauce to lip burning ghost pepper sauce for the enthusiast and everything in between. I cannot stress how good the host is at giving recommendations for food. This is the spot, here pretty soon its gonna be packed and there'll be a line to get into my favorite spot. I forgot to mention that the prices are very very fair as well this place isn't just worth a visit, you'll want to come back everytime you drive through granite shoals

I can't believe this place has been around for over a year and I haven't been here yet. Best Burger in Burnet Co hands DOWN. The chili is phenomenal, you can tell they have a great recipe and it's FRESH. I got the Diablo Burger and my Husband got the Philly Cheesesteak with Mango and Pineapple, and the Chili Cheese Fries. Everything was amazing. My sons got the chicken Tenders and we walked out the door paying $39 WITH drinks and fed a family of four. The guys in there are super friendly and help you decide what to order (there are too many good options). Can't wait to go back! I want to try everything on the Menu!
